mind semi-cloudy and body splotchy i am once again, reconnected with my inner child of the night. in that dreamy twilight too late for night and too early for day, i am back at the drawing board, after finding some muse for writing during the shower i so recently stepped out from - hair still damp to attest to the fact. tonight was a welcomed relief to the hum-drum week i had been having, toppped off by the disappointing realization of reality i mentioned in my previous asphyxiating post. chatting over drinks at the abbey with friends certainly took the edge off. i am glad to know the people i know, a circle so diverse among ethnicities, tastes, beliefs and views that we could make even the u.n. blush. i am glad to be able to chill with people who have reputable goals, people who have reputable jobs, and peopel who are in reputable institutions. as we all sat around candlelight, chatting and joking over familiar things and learning new things we did not know previously, we invited total strangers to join us, to sit and chat. most who were sober, if not too intoxicted to be incomprehensible, were really quite pleasant. it is a most interesting thing to find out all you can about a total stranger, granted, whenever total strangers try to find out about me, i simply lie. this game is so ironic. yet incredibly amusing.
what we have to do, what at any rate it is our duty to do, is to revive the old art of lying.
